DIY lightweight (917K) ignition key

Cool little project that cost me $2.62 and about an hour of my time. (I have to admit, I got the idea from someone over at the 911S registry.)

ground the key round, brushed the silver finish off down to the brass, and drilled some holes.

Looks cool, but I'll bet the rubber headed key is lighter.

Looks great! But those Taylor blanks are not as thick as oem. I have one of each.. Oem fits better in the lock.

Lightest would be "push start" Surprised they didn't just roll start the 917, it must have been regulation to have a starter.
