Volunteers needed for a few hours of directing traffic or taking tickets. Will be compensated in some way, probably an event shirt. Volunteers get in for free.
Can this be a sticky thread?

I thought this event was canceled? Did something change?
If the event is a go, you may want to change the title to "German Autofest in Ventura is a GO" or something for the recognition. Just a thought.

I was so happy to see this. Can't wait.
Are you setting up any group rate pricing with local hotels?

Early 911S Registry has group rates at the Marriot, as does the R Gruppe. They may not use all of their spots.
I will check with World Class Motoring regarding other arrangements.

Here's my contribution for the official event poster. Like last year you'll be able to purchase the poster at the show.

World Class Motoring is working on hotel reservations and special deals for show go-ers. They are at the Monterey Historics this weekend and will be back Monday. I will know more conclusive details about rooms and pricing this week and will let you know when I hear more information.

Max,
Can you post how many vendors have requested a space? Also how many spaces have you sold for the swap meet? And what clubs have already made a commitment to attend? We outoftowners need to make plans to travel and would like to know if it is worth the effort to fly to LA. We have traveled to most of all the Ventura shows except the first one due to the terrorist attack to the NY, we could not fly that weekend. Last year our attendance was low, only 3 or 4 people, usually we are around 15. There is a big interest in attending this year. |

Most of the vendors have arranged to come again. A few cannot make it due to commitments made during the time the show was "off".
I do not have acess to the numbers of registered vendors yet. This week, after the owners are back from Monterey, I can get firmer numbers. The swap meet spaces are probably more "up in the air" because of the nature of the swap meet. This seems to be the biggest attraction, though. All of the people I talk to say they like the swp meet. I think there will be a good turn-out. I will let you know numbers this week. It would be great to have you at the show. The Early 911S Registry, Porsche Owners Club, and the R Gruppe are going to attend. There will probably be a PCA contingent there, too.

Yes, his car simply blew me away when I saw it. It is stunning. A Turbo RSR, I would call it.
That was my favorite car there for the year of the Turbo.
