I was at Quatar for 4 days on some R&R when I was in Afghanistan, I saw so many nice cars when I went out to town...Many European, Japanese and American Supercars. Even some Classic American Steele. Theres Bentley, Porsche, Ferrari dealerships and many more on the main street. Great Nightlife on that little country.

				Drill Now!

Just another example of why America needs to start drilling now for more oil and stop sending its money to this part of the world. I keep seeing all these photos on the net of chrome plated or gold plated Audi's, Bentley's, Bugatti's special order multi-million dollar cars etc., all from oil money in Saudi, Dubai, Qatar etc. It makes me sick. Don;t get me wrong, I do not have a problem with people that are rich or even ultra rich, more power to them, when in a democracy, they are usually good for the country, but these guys didn't earn their money, they just happen to live in a part of the world that is dripping with oil, and the world keeps sending them more money. Here's another example of a guy that probably has more money than some small countries, and probably from oil that the US (and Europe) purchases instead of drilling in Alaska to protect a few polar bears. The left wants to redistribute the wealth of rich hard working Americans that earn more than $250K, wait, $200K, no sorry, Biden just last week said $150K is now considered rich, but they have no problem sending hundreds of billions of dollars to these guys in the middle east to buy more palaces and yachts so that a samll area up north in Alaska that almost nobody will ever see will stay "beautiful" and protected. Give me a break! Only one day left, I can still pray for a McCain victory.

Yeah, kill off the bears and anything else that stands in the way of drilling for oil so that over-weight and mindless consumers can continue their wasteful lifestyle. Change is coming in more ways than you think! Have fun.

Yeah too bad about that Miura. Always been my favorite Lambo. These guys know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

You know what? God bless him that he can enjoy and own that many cars. He is just following that "trickle down economics" way of life He's got Porsches and sure, imho , the amount of cars is excessive, but to each his own. If any of you want to expand on anything else other than Porsches, take it to the off topic forum

Porsche has always prided itself on being the most environmentally responsible sports car maker in the world, BTW the emir of quatar plans to bring his country into the modern world and fast - they have a highly liberal society re women's rights, civil rights, speech, etc. and are a major US ally whole thread belongs OT IMHO Last edited by RWebb; 11-03-2008 at 09:13 AM.. | ||

No matter if you are left, right, or centrist, political talk has no place here. Take it to OT, just like Randy and TRE suggest. And while you are at it, why don't you first visit a non-partisan site like factcheck.org to make sure what you are espousing is based on facts and not political spin and rants. On a non-political slant, I believe the guy in the link has more money than brains and a bit of a self-esteem prob. I tend to admire people who don't tell you what they own (see my signature ), but let it reveal itself just through casual contact.

I didn't see a 356 nor a 914 in his stable. Can't be much of a collector without those two!

They're all beautiful, but it's like he runs from one piece of bling to the next. A bunch are outside collecting dust, and the poor Countach has a flat - but man what eye candy.

Pretty sure he is a member here unless I'm confusing him with another person. I recall him (or someone else) posting a link to his Quatar site.
