Wtb Fuel Distributor Rebuild Parts

Anyone know where I can get fuel distributor rebuild O-rings, Stainless body gasket and barrel anti-rotation washer/lock. The folks in Texas - DeLorean - say they only sell rebuilt units and not parts.

Any help appreciated.

From what I understand, that is the typical response. The rebuilders seem to hold this info very close to keep their business. I don't think there is much to rebuilding, but getting the parts is basically impossible.

If you find a supplier, please let us know.

Here is a fuel distributor rebuild link that lists the o-ring sizes.

He picked up the o-rings from a local hardware store.

I am not an expert but I believe cleaning and replacing parts it just a small part of a rebuild.

The important part is adjusting the flow rates in total and to balance each of the ports.

This requires a special bench set up to do it.

You might be able to rig something up with a fuel pump, WUR, power, injectors and measuring beakers but sounds like a lot of effort.

Get it wrong and you may burn a valve or piston.

Best of luck.

You should be able to source the o-rings at www.mcmaster.com. Did you lose your washer? If not you should be able to re-use it along with the stainless gasket. I rebuilt my fuel head because the car was sitting for a long time and I did not want to run the re-built engine without knowing it was good.

After taking it apart, cleaning, and putting it back together I then tested the flow rate with the injectors in the car using glass beakers. I could not get different flow rates no matter how hard I tried.

Thanks Mathew,
I have everything but the plate.
The stainless metering plate has rusted away... Stainless - not rust proof...
I have three cylinders that have holes in them. When pulling plugs I ended with 3 beautiful clean ones, and three very rich ones.. :-(
Hence - I am looking for a new one, or used one out of a "no core" 006 fuel distributor.
I will have a few machined if need be, which might help others, and the cost of three is close to the cost of one. I thought I'd try sourcing them first.
Thanks,
michael
