My New Next-Door Neighbor Owns a Boxster
Saw him roll up in a black one (not sure if "S"). FWIW, dude paid about a million bucks for their 4-BR, ~2500 sq. ft. house. His U-Haul is currently parked on my property. That's OK for now. I'll find out more about him when I tell him not to park any of their vehicles there. Any suggestions on how to welcome him to the 'hood?

Let me guess, He used to live in a trailer park? Thats what happened here, they moved in and just started putting their trash out by the road and it was never picked up so I went over and told him they needed to contract for pick up and pay for it.. Yea I hate cars parked in my yard unless there mine

Bay area is not "Nor Cal" look at the Cali state map it is "Mid Cal" in real Nor Cal new neighbors would never do such a thing.

Make friends with them ASAP. It's always better to have neighbors who are friends than neighbors who are enemies...

Say hi, make friends with him and DON'T mention his truck parked on your property. It will be moved soon enough. I know someone who mentioned the truck on his property at their first meeting, it ruined any relationship they may have had at the outset. I can't stress enough how important it is to maintain a good relationship with your neighbors.

Boxster
As soon as one Boxster moves in the rest of the neighboorhood will go to hell and there will be a Boxster in every garage, housing values will go down and the ruination of the neighboorhood will be underway. Get out as quickly as you can. Caymans are probably to follow then Yugos and Buicks. They are all the same.

Scary. We live in the woods--literally, I piss off my porch--and have for 37 years. No neighbors. None. Surrounded by forest. And we just sold the house, barn and land to move down off the mountain to the village, on a street where the houses actually have numbers.
I will be totally out of my element. You're supposed to be nice to neighbors? Can you just tell them to fork off and leave you alone? Probably not, I'm guessing... And yes, EP Slick, we even have a Boxster.

Or, much more importantly, he may get the chance to "sit" in your SC....?

Yes, you can tell them (still),... However, I'd start pissing in the bathroom vs. the porch...that "porch thing" may cause some problems down in the village! Looks to be a big change, no? Mountain tops are way cool......hard to leave 'em. Best of luck to you,..... Doyle

So my wife comes home and sees the u-haul on our property. She tells me "I set our new neighbor straight and told them not to park there." LOL. Oh, well. She did say they were cool about it.

![]() Find out if the Boxster guy will drink beer out of a can? Always wandered about that.

Off the porch
I live in the city but piss off the porch anyway. Keeps the neighbors away.

Maybe say
"Wow I looked out the window and a saw a free trailer and Porsche on my property. I guess I won the lotto. Just kidding but I kind of like to grow grass there......;-) If he does not laugh, I would say "really" nice to meet you but you need to move it. And by the way, would you like to know where the cool back roads are around here. You can follow me in your B&*(h wagon......

Everyday that u-haul sits there he is paying for it. Perhaps he would like it gone just as quickly. Offer to help him move in.
