Back from the zinc platers. put on your shades
Man...I love freshly plated hardware. This is what 25 lbs of yellow zinc plated hardware looks like. Most of it from my 71E, but I threw a lot of other stuff in to.

how did you supply the parts to the plater? were they basically just un-bolted from the car and given to the plater or did you do any cleaning/stripping to prep them?
thanks!

Cost was $270, but it could have been much more or less. (I originally had disk brake shields and larger parts and the total for that came up to $780....so I reconsidered)
They were "barrel plated", which is like it sounds. Harware and small parts that can be tossed together in a plating barrel and don't require any individual wiring to be plated properly. These were done at Electrofinishing in Kent, WA. (ask for Mike) Basic pricing was: $90 per barrel $35/hour for cleaning/handwork. My stuff needed two barrels + some cleaning. My parts were typically right of the car, but not with a lot of caked on grease. I also took pix, prior. Just started to install the air cleaner clips and linkage on my MFI engine.......very nice. Tony...not NOS..it's OOS (like me), just looks like new.
