OMG i started my car w/o the muffler......
REALLY didn't want to put it back on.
My little 2.4 sounded like a total monster. My GOD what a sound!:D:D:D |
Can you say Fab Speed?
|
this post is useless without sound....

I believe they have fitting issues. |
augustus i can't imagine any camera i have doing a good job recording that sound.
i wish it could! honestly the car sounded like it should have a massive set of Hoosiers and great big clip on flares. literally like a race car. blipping the throttle was just craziness. absolute insanity! talk about a party in your eardrums! |
Occasionally, I pull the muffler off my 3.2 and strap a straight pipe directly to my Fabspeed pre-muff (no fitment issues).... I love it! Sounds like a Hemi Cuda. I have to work hard leaving the neighborhood to keep the sound down to a dull roar. On the throttle though... frickin music.

Throw some SSIs and ben's cherry bombs (track "mufflers") on. sweetness.

BF, give it a try. I'd like to hear it... |
i'll see if i can get the canon working as it has vid capability. kinda forgot all about the point and shoot camera when i got the DSLR. have NO idea how to transfer miniDV to pc.
|
Hell, even my 4cyl 912 sounds awesome without a muffler.... The neighbors don't think so though, it's an acquired taste ;-)

Everybody needs to do this at least once in their life. It's like the first time you get any serious nooky - giddy and grinning. :)
|
I do it twice a year, basically - spring & fall for a few weeks each. :)
The intent is to record some snippets of video during the next fun run. The roll bar's back on for the camera mount, and the dump tip's back on - Fabspeed pre-muffler & muffler bypass is the current setup. You can get some feedback from Buckterrier here, he came up to visit & we went running together this past weekend. Mark? :D |
