Key Stuck in ignition!

OK so my key is stuck in the ignition. What's the best course of action? It DOES NOT want to budge and I don't want to force it. Jiggling, turning is doing nothing to loosen it.

That said, nothing else is affected.

Perhaps the steering lock is holding pressure. Try turning the steering wheel while removing the key.

Have you tried turning or putting pressure left or right on the steering wheel and turning the key?

Will try those things. Again, I don't want to force it and may need to employ a locksmith.

I've only recently acquired the car from the second owner. I know the ignition switch was replaced about 15 years ago by the previous owner and he had no issues with this key so I'm not sure why I'm having an issue now.

Yea, mine locked up when I was pointed downhill and turned the wheel towards the curb. I had to turn the wheel to release pressure and turn the key at the same time to release it and start.

This stuff (Tri-Flow) has bought me a lot of extra life out of the assembly.
