20 years from now, when everybody sees backdated cars everyone is going to say "what the hell were they thinking? they ruined a perfect SC"

It's the perfect compromise for the 911 owner who's indecided between buying a long hood car and an impact bumper car. It's win-win!
OK, it's hideous... now where did I put that puking emoticon?

Agreed that this is pretty hideous but remember that "updating" longhoods was pretty popular in the 80's. Check out this ad for a rear bumper "styling conversion" from the 1980 Automotion catalog. Top left.

Uh yeah, but the quoted poster was talking about the current trend of backdating impact bumper cars to look like longhood cars.
