I always politely ask for a citation to their administrative rules.
If they don't have on -- and who would -- I act really shocked and then say "but how do you know this is required?" Then ask for a supervisor. |
I'd use a graphics program like Quark or Indesign, make one up, print it on some sort of plastic and then use an easy to remove adhesive to stick it to the knob. Kinkos can do this for you. You probably can even do something that looks good in a word document.
If the final result looks somewhat professional, it will probably pass. While I agree the law is really stupid, I'm guessing you have better things to do with your time than fight this. Just figure out a cheap and easy fix so you can pass. ---- Tom |
we'll i've sorted out all my issues, except the front plate, which i seemed to have misplaced. I took my old shift knob that the PO had on it and drew the pattern with a grease pencil. Im just gunna have the car privately inspected, i may know a place through a friend of a friend that wont notice the front plate is missing.
