Isn't that on the firewall, by the cruise control servo?

Frequency valve. In the very top pic, you can see the bottom end plugged in. You can't see the top end as the rubber bellows is moved out of place.

Plug wire goes from one turquoise plug to the other.

no, the one on the left on the air flow meter (AFM), goes to the switch that cuts off the fuel pump when the key is on and the engine is not running. the other one is the cold start valve

The one on the top is for the air sensor plate switch and the other is for the cold start valve. BTW, the brake vaccum source is located at the air box driverside and it goes down to the bottom side of the firewall. Search for John Walker's post about vacuum leak and has a picture of the brake vacuum hose going to the firewall. HTH.

The vacuum hose is connected to the driverside of the airbox and next to intake manifold #3. The other end is connected a steel tube by the firewall shown in John Walker's post (vacuum leak). See below:

boy911sc thank you

How do you get such good pics, thats exactly what i needed.

I replace the warm up regulator vacuum hose, some improvement, but still backfires.

thursday the red and blue distributor vacuum get replaced and im going to recheck the fuel pressure.

after that im going to trace the brake boost vacuum line.

Its getting cold in northern ohio, running out of time before it all gets packed away in the barn.
