Silly q about 935 (and other similar) rear fenders

Silly question that's been bugging me:

What were the vents in the rear fenders for? They seem too big for the brakes.

You mean these big NACA ducts on top of the fenders?

This is different car than the JLP car above but you can see the big black tube running from the fender to the turbo

Red- The Red NACA duct is air to engine area.
Blue- The Blue NACA duct is air to the cold side of the turbo.
Green- The Green duct is air to the intercooler, look throught the side window for the large flex duct to the intercooler.
Yellow- The Yellow duct on my car has no function, however the same duct on the opposite side is for the transmission cooler.

I forgot to mention the rear brake ducts are located below the car, attached to the trailing arm.
