Color code Help!!!
 

HI,
Just got my first 911..really excited...its a 1973 911 T with lots of options...will post pics later...
First issue:
The car is painted in a volkswagem red,and IM trying to find out its original color...
I got a code from the door plate,but cant find anywhere in the net what it means...so please,help me!!!

Code is 514-9-3..........What color is it?

Not a standard color code for 1973. They can be seen here: http://www.elferhelfer.com/farben.htm.

Look under the floor mats, engine room, trunk, and the wheel wells for evidenece of the original color. Then enire body was painted one clor when it leftthe factory.

That may be "Metallic Champagne" What is the VIN of the car?
