With all due respect, this has been covered several times before. Do a search on "wiper switch repair" and you'll find just what you need. Don't hesitate to call if you have questions after that.

the wiper switch has a couple of contacts that need to contact when the switch is off. if they don't, no intermittents and no park. they can be tweeked, but the steering wheel and housing covers need to come off to do it. pretty obvious once you look at the switch function.

Full 12v isn't running thru the lights portion. It shouldn't affect the wipers.

Funny, I've been on this BBS for too long and I've not seen the other threads on the wiper parking issue. Plus, I'm a critic of the search system here. Google it's not. People who say "use the search" are wasting all of our time and Wayne's bandwidth.

A simple reply as JW did serves the best and tasks the PP server the least. Do you know how taxing it is to the server to search "find all posts by (xxx)"?

Does your intermittent switch still work for the wipers?

I had the same problem as you including no intermittent function. I tried cleaning the contacts and bending to make sure they were in the correct position, nothing worked, so I bought a new wiper switch. This still didn't cure the problem, in the end I replaced the intermittent relay and this fixed the problem.

The relay is located behind the fresh air blower, so you have to remove the blower to replace it. If you have the Bentley manual it's fairly easy to do, by following the directions.

+1 with Milt on the hit or miss search feature. Also, the time it takes to tell someone to look it up in a search, because it has been covered repeatedly, the question could have possibly been answered with real information that could have helped with the problem.
As John states, you need to take a look at the internals of the wiper switch. Good luck!! Tony.

Hmm. I have the wiper park problem too, but a little different. My wipers work properly (including intermitent function) but won't park when I turn off the stalk. I always have to turn the intermitent knob to park them. I've cleaned the switch and confirmed all the contacts. Perhaps I should try another relay box, or just get used to parking with the inter knob.
I'm thinking your issue might be deeper since there is a indicator lamp/turn signal issue too. Did everything work before you changed the turn/beam stalk?
Mark.

repaired the highbeam function, had to tweak the contacts in the switch. i think the flasher relay may be bad, one of the prongs on the relay looks alittle fried. i will look at the contacts in the wiper switch too, my intermitent function does not work either so i think it may be something more.

btw, thanks to all the guys who did give some advice. i did try the search function for the wipers and came up with zero.
