Can you add heat to seats that are not factory heated???

Just like the title says...I am curious if anyone has ever added heat to seats that did not come that way from the factory?I have a pair of electric sport seats that I was wondering about....thanks for entertaining my simple questions....john

yes you can
there are kits that offer a thin film element for installation under the upholstery. Wiring and general instructions are included with most of these kits

I used one of these kits for a land Rover Discovery I owned and it was really quite easy to do. Of course the hardest part is removing and reinstalling the seat covers. I think the kit i bought was about $150 for 2 seats. The heated pad was basically a thin piece of fabric with the elements inside.

Another way is to eat lots of beans, sit on a folded space-blanket and heat without using electricity.
