Simple? Camshaft Hosing Barrel Nut Question
I've been searching for the past 2 hours for something I thought should be relatively simple. So much for that . . .
I'm looking for the M8 8MM Barrel nuts that are torqued down when the cam housing is mated to the heads. I have a 1976 911S and have been scanning the PET diagrams to no avail since I can't seem to locate any in my inventory. I've found the following part numbers. 901-111-271-00 (I think this is the right part number). 307-104-382-02 But there's no specification as to whether or not these are the M8 8MM barrel nuts I need. They appear to all be the M8 13MM barrel nuts. Dempsey's rebuilding book states on p.154 , "Install and torque down the fifteen M8 13 mm nuts and three M8 8mm barrel nuts that attach the heads to the camshaft housing, shown in figure 5-10". Thanks in advance for any help. |

Thanks for the help guys. All the help saved me from another weekend where a lack of parts results in hiccup in work done.
