Need Help - door won't lock with key
 

OK, I re-keyed my drivers door lock so that I now only have one key. I also put on a new/used door handle because the finish was missing on the existing one (PO had spray painted poorly).
When I install the door handle it will open the door and if I flip the door catch manually and then manually push the lock lever inside the door, the door locks and when I turn the key it will unlock. The problem is the "PIN" that turns with the key has nothing to "pull" the lever on the inside of the door over to the "lock" position. So I can't lock my door from the outside with the key. What am I missing? I've check in the bottom of the door for a missing piece that might have slipped off the "lock lever" that the pin pushes on when you turn it but didn't see anything.

Never mind, I just figured it out. The electric lock locks the doors with the micro switch. I didn't have the battery hooked up because all the wires from the electric window switches were loose.
