Fuel accumulator substitution
I've just got a new fuel accumulator to replace the old one on my 74' 911S, but the new one has a small exit tube at the end (opposite to the 2 main fuel lines), which the old one doesn't seem to have...
What's it used for ? Where should I plug it ? Thanks Paulo |

accum
paulo, that is a later model accum. the bottlom hose was fitted back to the return fuel line going back to the tank, so incase of a ruptured diaphram, the fuel would not leak on hot parts. you can leave it be or just run a line down low and vent it to atmosphere.

Leaving it unplugged or vented overboard is an invitation to a disaster when the diaphram ruptures. Get the right fitting to cap it off, or figure out how to plumb it into the return line.
