Pics of my new 4 post lift!!!
Well, something had to give. The new house with a smaller garage just wasn't working. My wife gave me the OK to do what I needed to do.... So, this is what I did!

Looks nice!
Curious, how high is the ceiling?
Also, I like your CB400! I had one a long time ago, and have often felt like looking for another. Jeff |

Well, that looks like a reasonable compromise: Have a smaller garage, but get a four post lift. Not too bad.

Wow, love the old bikes. That yellow honda looks a lot like a Norton at first glance. Honda's put the old British companies out of biz you know.
Nice lift! Envious.

I think it's 8'9". Couldn't fit two 911's on it unless they were super low. The 914 is 46", 911 is 49" I think. Got about 3" clearance on each one, it's tight in there!!!
Yep, the old bikes are fun. The 400 Honda is a hoot! Sounds like a F1 car going through the gears, but you look down and you're only doing like 50mph. Just like th 914, you gotta work it to keep up with traffic.

just noticed
Wow,
the 914 looks like it was designed to go on top. I just noticed how the garage door fits just over the trunk! COOL! Darn, I think my garage is not tall enough! Jeff |

Hey, nice set up. I've got one of these in my future for sure, a 914 on top as well. Good to see it works in a lower garage. Tell us more details on the lift if you don't mind. Happy with the brand? and did you set it up yourself? Thanks

I got a 4-post Rotary Lift 2 years ago. One of the best things I've done. And my garage is alot smaller than yours.

I've had a 4 post lift for about 6-7 yrs. The only thing I didn't like was not being able to take the wheels off while on the lift. Then I discovered a sliding bridge jack, didn't even know these exsisted. Just got it last week. This thing is great. The weight load and costs vary. No affiliation with any company. http://www.bestbuyautoequipment.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=PRO%2DJACK3500

Nice 68 Mike, I've seen one like it somewhere...
The lift is from Greg Smith Equipment. Seems well built and works nice and smooth. I set it up with the help of 2 friends. All went well with that plan until we unloaded the ramp with the hydraulic's in it It was heavier than it looked, but we managed to get it in place with no broken toes or backs, not sure how though.

very nice work. Did you assemble it yourself? How did you get it off the truck? I am about to order one my self, just doing research what brand and model to get. Can you give more details?

Got it from Greg Smith Equipment. They deliver it to a freight facility near you and I had to rent a U-haul to pick it up. Took it apart in the back of the U-haul and with the help of 2 friends we unloaded and set it up in the garage. Took 5 or 6 hours to put it together.
