Hey , guys the other day I noticed that the "VIN tag" on my 1988' 930 coupe was right on the driver's side front windshield pillar !!. Mearly attached via ''common pop rivets"?? , What the heck? Were'nt Porsche cars like number 2 behind Vettes in statisti
cle thefts , back in the 80's? Why on Earth would Stuttgart have placed the VIN tab in such an easy to remove/ replace location, as opposed ,to most cars of that era , being at least down tucked under windshield , whereupon one would at least have to remove the glass to tamper with the VIN tag?

Maybe because it's also located in the door opening and under the hood... The one you refer to is just an easier one to read from outside...
