Where are all the good smog only centers in the Bay Area?

NoEardGoat brought up an interesting point. There are way too many in the Bay Area not to know of a good smog shop. If you know of one, please share it with the rest of us. Thanks.

I've smogged three vehicles at a test only center on Webster in Alameda at the 76 station. There's a Vietnamese man who runs the place and my 993 imported from the SouthEast passed the CA smog "very clean." It was $80 and no up charge or anxiety as it's a high performance German car.

Smogged my 77 Ford F100 there last month after replacing a couple of missing or broken hoses (Kragen) that my brother a former smog tech in CA and fulltime MUNI mechanic pointed out.

Not all Porsche’s SMOG alike, meaning there may be a case where you want your testing technician to know everything about your car and then you might have a situation where you are better off with the technician knowing nothing about Porsche’s. Get my drift?

So I just moved into the Bay Area, South Bay/Santa Clara to be exact, and now that all my cars have arrived I guess I have to get them smogged. Anyone have more suggestions?

I assume they don't have to be even if transferring from another state? Did a lot of research on the CA DMV/BAR sites but still wanted to make sure as the language on the sites are confusing at times.

Still have to get the gf's car and my truck smogged, though.

Absolutely certain that the 70 and 72 are exempt. Keep things simple and register through the Auto Club. Your newer cars will need testing, as you've surmised.
