Fog Lights, stock on a 3.2 Carrera?
Can anyone tell me if the stock under bumper fog lights on a 3.2 Carrera are of any use?
That is, do they put out much light? Any details? Can they be made stronger? I took mine off for more air to the oil cooler. Thx |

I find mine useful. Not sure if the lamps can be uprated but they definitely put out some light.

My fog lights work great for what they are intended. They send out a nice low-to-the-ground beam of light, which is what is needed in fog. They are not driving lights, however.

Mine seem to work pretty well. Throws a lot more light right in front of the car.

Like mine too. Operate with them on as S.O.P.

As a fog light they are just fine. I don't drive in much fog so I can't say if they are great or not.

I took mine out and replaced them with after market driving light. They come on only with the high beams. All it took was some old fog light mounts and a bit of creativity.
![]() Here is a post detailing how to do it. They are different lights than mine but identical concept. I never use to use the fog light because they just pointed in all sorts of directions. |
