How to re attack quarter window moulding?
How to re-attach quarter window moulding (old 911)? Tap it on to reciever groove in rubber window surround with soft mallet? Not sure how to do it. Doesn't seem to like mallet method. Bigger mallet?

It is a 79 so the rubber goes in first.

Both the groove and rubber need to be s-l-i-c-k...
Use dish soap. Stay close to the ground (softer floor - the better) in case the window slips out. Spray soap on and keep it wet as you work the rubber into the groove.

Place assembly up into window opening and pull the string from the inside while a helper pushes on the outside and "rope" the assembly into car.
