HElp with body/paint job
Hello,
I instaled steel turbo flares on my 911 and now I am preparing for painting. My question is: does the black primer/paint that comes on the new steel flares has to be removed or I can spray the primer ovr it after some sanding? Thanks a lot

Make sure it's clean of any oil or wax, then scuff it and prime it. No need to take it off. Don't sand before cleaning. It drives the contamination into the base coat. Sand nicks and scratches to bare metal.

that black primer is an E-coat and you should just scuff it if possible with scotch brite before priming with buildable/sandable then go from there

E-coating is like powder coating, only it can be done with liquid. The metal part is negatively charged, the coating paint is positively charged. Opposite charges attract and give a very thorough coating with less waste.
