911 Undercoating......

There are some spots underneath my car where the original undercoating has flaked/worn off. The wheel wells are also body color now (RED!), due to a bad masking job during a repaint.

So I'm thinking about either:

1. Spot retouching the bare metal spots with a wire brush, then primer/undercoating. Repainting the entire bottom of the in car semi-gloss black.

2. Spot retouch the bare spots as above, prepping the original undercoat. Then lightly undercoating the entire under side of the car with, Transtar rubberized undercoating (this product is black).

Not too worried about moisture here in Colorado but, I would like to seal underside of the car for the future protection and get the wheel wells black again.

Any thoughts?
