Wheel fitment question

New to this game after being around A1 chassis Volkswagens.

I recently purchased an 87 911 narrow body Carrera 3.2. I purchased the vehicle with the original Fuchs (9" in the rear) and I would like to pull them off and get them refinished to their oem state at some point. In the meantime, chance has it that I sourced a new set of Porsche Speedline 17" 5-Spoke wheels. 3-Piece "Alesio's" for a Boxster fitment at a very interesting price.

Wheels are 17"x8 front ( ET-40 ) and 17"x9 rear ( ET-50 ).

Question is will these fit and would 30mm spacers be required in the rear?

Cheers in advance for the help.

JP

yes, you'll need ~13+/- mm spacers in front and ~34+/-mm spacers in back

Thank you Bill, great info on the wheel fitment link as well.

safe to say that et-25 on an 8 in the front and et-16 on a 9 in the rear is a safe fitment.

would have like to avoided spacers entirely this time around, not that I have not run them in the past.

If you are running an 8.0 in the front I would go as close to 30mm as possible.

Cheers

Thanks Jeff, I had the front fenders rolled and for suspension I am running torsion tubes (eurospec).

Again, these wheels were just a thought. I have also been tinkering with at a older set of BBS e50's to refurb in a 17", or a new set of either LM's or e88's (in an 18")...so I am assuming that the offsets might be slightly different with 18"s.

Funny thing is that I have ran more rare and custom 2 and 3 peice wheels on countless VW's but the Porsche wheel education is completely challenging for me. Seems like too many things get in the way (from arms to oil lines)

16, 17, 18 doesn't change the needed o/s

8ET25-31 works well on the front, Jeff is right the closer to 30 the less potential impact as far as the lips are concerned but also the more potential impect on the inner wall. I have 8 ET25 w/ totally shaved lips and have used 225 - 235 tires w/o issue, but I shaved the lips totally off 35 yrs ago when I was tracking the car w/ 225 on 7ET23 front and extremely low ride height
