My 911 has "parkinson"

hi its a 76 2.7
i think it happened after i had a "hidrostatic lock" , i fixed the lock , change the oil as it was full of gasoline and now just in about 2000 rpm the car shaking in every gear. if i accelerate or deccelerate (staying on the same gear) it stops!

i also changed one of the coil cables

is it something i should check with the gasoline or electrical?

Is it definitely drive train related (not suspension/tires etc..?)

If so, is it clear that the engine is mis-firing?

Some clarification will help.

Check and make sure your clutch cable tube between the fire wall and the transmission case is well clear of any items such as the accelerator crank shaft.

wayne when i eccelerate the "parkinson" stops n the engine goes very strong (as 2.7 can be...) do u still think it might be a cylinder?!

Does it do this at 2000 rpm when in neutral? What caused the lock and what was the fix?

nothing in neutral

i dont know the cause probably because i tried to start it while one of the coil cables burn out and too much gasoline without the electronic strike (sorry for my poor english)

the fix is to open the plugs and change them to new ones + change of all the oil as gasoline got inside the oil tank

No vibration in neutral means the source isn't in the engine. It's either in the drivetrain (e.g. clutch, transmission) or something attached to whatever is rotating in the drivetrain (e.g. half shaft, tire/wheel). It could also be a worn or loose motor or transmission mount.

My best guess,
Sherwood

Yeah, if you are going down the road shaking and you put it in neutral and the shaking continues, it must be something other than the engine. If its coming from the engine under load, I would check the other ignition wires. They can cause misfires that only show up under load.
