Button gizmo on top of Al crossbar suspension support

re item #2 in the PET diagram...

is it only for use on a Turbo?
or is it supposed to be on all cars?

p/n 930 341 135 00 - PET says it is an "adapter" and under the Model column says "TURBO"

Randy,

My recolection is the Turbo has the rear of the A-arms higher in the chassis. Is this part possibly to space down the cross member for some reason?

It may also be an intermediate piece when Porsche first used cast cross members. (Corrosion protection?) It was not used on the '73RS forged cross member.

2c

Best,
Grady

Stoddard's tells me that these are for turbo only and the small nubbins are found on 911's on the body shell itself.

That is correct. They are welded to the body in a standard 911 & the aluminum crossbar snugs up with one on each side.
