Clicking noise coming from dash area

Got my car back from the shop doing some engine work for 2 months (guys were slow) and I am noticing a clicking noise coming from the dash area left of the stearing wheel. The noise matches the rotation of the wheels not the transmission. Is there anything gear driven left of the steering wheel besides the gears in the odometer?

I have it too. It's not the odometer (I rebuilt that). It is definitely in or behind the speedo gauge pod.

I open the windows, that drowns it out nicely

hmm, o2 milage sensor... When I was looking behind the dash there was an o2 dealy bob that was unplugged so I plugged it in again. Hadn't really drove car in a while so maybe I didn't notice it. I will unplug it again. Doesn't do anything important?
This a a little to the right of the tach though..

I'll tell ya what, I have my clock out (open hole), so it's possible that it sounds like it's coming from the right of the steering wheel, when in fact, it might be to the left like yours.

Well re-unplugged o2 sensor box behind tech and clicking is stopped. The plug is about the size of a nickel with 4 or 5 prongs on it. Just leave it hangin.

OK, I'm curious... I've never ever heard any clicking. I did a quick search, what is a O2 mileage sensor? And where is the indicator light?
