How about non porshe cars with porsche engines

Who's put a porsche engine in a non porsche car? I know of a few would be interested in other transplants.

Man, that is awesome! I don't have a splitty but my baywindow is scary as hell in a fast corner! I guess a lot of money in the suspension as well, probably just a body transplant.

even with the obvious money those guys put into the suspension it still looks scary as hell man! but REALLY great fun! what a sound eh? i'd love an early split window in retro colours with a 3.2 in the back.

(edit: did you see at 25 seconds some guy has a canvas camping awning thing on the back on the track?) cool!

Martin Schneider (MSDS) has done a lot of conversions to various year VW vans and pick ups. The coolest one was a 3.6 powered Syncro double cab pick up done in camo

there was this guy Neil, (now building off road trophy trucks) that showed up at one of my Solvang Stomp back roads runs years ago with a big motored window van. He had his german shepherd along that was having a ball jumping around the inside, while Neil was blowing the doors off 911's in the hills !!

You haven't lived until you've held a Vanagon in a four-wheel drift! I had my '84 (with big wheels and tires) on the track several times, and it was surprisingly good.

Inside the same bus.

A little drifting and check out the 911 dash and the seats!

yes- it is a body transplant and a half. 965 turbo suspension grafted onto a much later transporter truck chassis. then a cage , then the chopped, sectioned early bus exterior clothing
basically a taller longer wider 965 turbo !

Power corrupts.... Personally, I think corruption is vastly underated and that every now and then, we all need to take a walk on the wild side!

Porsche 928 + VW Golf

Not really a transplant, but a widened VW body on a Porsche 928:

As I recall, there were several companies who did this, one being a featured car in R&T some years ago.
