Rennshift problems

I recently purchased a Rennshift shifter from our hostr for my 1986 911. I have followed all instructions and attempted to adjust at the rear shift coupling however cannot seem to get enough side -to side movement to get 5th or reverse. Checked all bushings and they are fine. Re-installed factory shifter and all gears are present just not with the Rennshifter. I cannot find an adjustment for the side-to side movement of the shifter. Any ideas??

Found the solution. The parts that came with teh shifter included a large spacer for the two bolts that hold the shift rod bar in place (two small bolts on shift mechanism). The instructions made no mention of this spacer or what is was to be used for. After 3 hours decided to try installing with the spacer and as luck would have it..the shifter works perfectly now!

Glad you solved it. I put a Rennshift in my '71 911 (RS clone with 901 gearbox) last summer, and I think the Rennshift is an excellent piece of work.

Shifter feels great. Guess I still have some blond hair mixed in with the grey.
