Hose substitute; Anyone know what temp the SSI's get to

I have been tryng to find replacement for this piece.

I want to use some hose that I found at a local aircraft parts department and the tubing is rated to 300 degrees F. Does anyone know if that would hold up or does anyone know how hot the SSI's get where this hose would connect?

I bet the hose you bought will work. I bought some orange SCAT (I think that's the name of it?) tubing at my local airport parts place and it works great. Aircraft Spruce also sells that stuff.

What's wrong with the OEM paper/foil heater hose?

I assume he wants the piece under the car which is vulnerable to rocks, etc. The light weight factory stuff won't last long down there.

I used this in my heater backdate.
It's good for +300ºF

The piece I got today is similar to Aeroduct CEET. Its rated to 300 degrees. I just dont know if that will hold up. Does anybody know if the area where these hoses attach to the SSI's heat up to more than 300 degrees.

It only directs cool air from the fan housing into the heat exchanger, so I doubt it ever gets too hot to touch even with the engine running.
