The 993 Conversion Thread

Ok gang...let's see your 993 body conversion pictures...or just some cool 993 pix.

If you did a conversion (pre-95 911 to 993 body) let's see some pictures of your installation, street or race.

I did the backdate thing and then the RUF CTR thing...now it's time for a 993 conversion. I'd like to see how you guys mounted the front and rear bumpers.

What kind of brackets did you use?

How did you mount the panel for the rear reflector?

How did you mount the rocker covers?

Although I don't plan on using the GT2 bolted on flares, here is a picture for inspiration (I hope you don't mind Princeton):

I love the traditional stock look Porsche... they are a true work of art. But, I also enjoy seeing the various conversions of these cars. Each seems to be a canvass and the styles out there are amazing. Hope this thread gets some responses.

Keep up the great work.

Very cool thread on Rennlist, Cory.

Anyone out there with a Getty wide body (+2" in front, +3" in back) kit? I'd like to see all angles of the Getty kit.....if anyone has it.

I think this one may be a Getty wide body (stolen from Cory's Rennlist thread):

So that's the "widebody" +3" rear quarters?

Any more pictures of further progress on that car?

Did the bumper have light boxes? Or were there only light boxes on the quarter panels, then you guys used the reflector panel to mount the center reflector. Any pictures of all that?
