Hirschmann Antenna?

Are these Hirschmann Antennaes any good? Are they reliable and well built?

I believe they are OEM antennas.

I replaced my '82 antenna with this exact one from e-bay. They delivered quickly and it was an easy install. It is not an exact match as the tip was different than the OEM. Hirschmann is a pretty good German company I have worked with in the past. OEM for most of the German car companies.

Charles @ Woody's Custom Shop chiming in here. I think I already answered someones question via ebay if this is an OEM antenna. I'm sure PORSCHE has the same style antenna with a PORSCHE part # which I would refer to as an OE antenna, probably 3 to 4 times as expensive as the OEM Hirschmann antenna we sell. Available with either a black or chrome mast. I know a fellow Pelican member that use to rebuild his antenna every couple of years until he found us, he gave up the rebuild hassle and purchased a complete new unit. He's going on three years now and it is still functioning properly. I also stock a "Hirschmann Power Antenna Maintenance Kit" which consists of three antenna wipes and a tube of Hirschmann antenna grease, $12.95 plus shipping. Will certainly prolong the operation of your current power antenna. If you need a replacement Hirschmann antenna you are welcome to purchase through ebay or call us direct, 949-722-1084 or 1-877-435-6911 M-F 9-5 PST
All the best,
Charles

Put on my '84 when I bought it 4 years ago. Both the black on the mast and the motor holding up very well.

I did wire it up directly to an after-market Alpine. Now I don't have the antenna raised when there's a CD in or my iPod hooked up--yeh, I know, a minor victory.
