what's better restore or leave original?

I have an '83 SC cabriolet with approx 35k miles, the car has one re-spray, 10 years ago, still looks great. The car has a few flaws, though small, it was put on a lift incorrectly and dented all four rocker areas a little, not bad, the front valance is all original with the fog lights, could use a little work, not dented but has road rash, original front spoiler is fine. The p/o spent 7K on the paint. With the low documented miles, should I repair and paint the rockers, very small, and valance or leave it as original and clean as it presents itself? I know the value of an '83 cab is a little more than other 911's, but I am realistic. Just don't want to get into the whole paint thing if originallity, and real flaws to the car may play apart. I also realize the repaint degrades originality, even though few would ever know it was ever repainted.

Since it's already been re-sprayed, it's not completely original. May as well keep the car in great shape, and repair.

Or just drive it the way it is, and not worry about perfection.

well

since it has been resprayed then its not original. so i would say fix the car and make it look good. no reason to repaint whole car and a good set of used rockers could be sourced and painted as you still use your car its a part of a day to swap out depending on your skill level. the nicer the car is cosmeticlly the easier it is to resale,

cheers ed

The rockers are just syper cracked and slightly indented, I guess I know the answer and just repair and paint, I really hate to have someone think I trying to hide something, if the economy wasn't putting in the toilet I would never have asked the question, thanks

fix it as you wish it's not original anymore.
