Engine
Well engine was interesting, I took it out by myself, much more bulky and awkward than earlier 911 engines I had messed with. The case has no serial#, must have been a factory replacement, anybody see that very often? Anyway I disassembled engine and took it to Greg Johnson at Eurosport LTD in Englewood CO to do the rebuild. So far we are at the point case has been gone over and shuffle pinned, parts have been coated. Case modified to fit gt3 oil pump. Going with Mahle 3.4 ltr pistons, Carillo rods, 964 cams, Euro cis for now. For a turbo leaning toward K27HFS , Garrett not ruled out. Porting heads probably next.

Looks like a nice daily commuter yer building there...j/k
Get the real wheels mounted & built yet? |
Very nice project. Looks like you started with a pretty clean chassis.
|
Commuter
It should commute fine from the pits onto the track!!! waiting for some rim pieces to put rear wheels together.
|
Get the Garrett you won't regret it.

Very nice build, should be a lot of fun! There are a few of those non-numbered cases floating around. The factory replacements come unstamped. I have one on the shelf as well.. pretty much in the same state as yours with the same parts to build. Lucky for me it's a spare as it won't be going together this year, still looking into various EFI systems and searching my pants pockets for spare change!:D Good luck.. P- |

Fender work
Cut out the fenders today and working out the fit of the fiberglass flares. Clecko tool sure makes fitment easier, holding parts in place

That is looking really good. coming together nicely.
I would be very interested in some additional pictures of the new rear seat cover that you have done. Would you mind posting some more pictures and details? |
Lookin' good! Are you going to resize the rear wheels to fill the rear quarter out a little more?
