So I need to get longer studs. Are those stock rear quaters on that car as I see the 993 update?

Im thinking their not cause the rear bumper is for a 993 also. I bought the car like it is so I dont know much about the body kit. The studs are sticking out 3.5 inches from the hub so I imagine you will need longer studs.

sixbanger--do you have the torsion bar suspension or the coilovers?
1989 was a transtion year for the 911 from the old style suspension to the new coilover type. If yours is a later 89 model, you will be able to fit the 993 wheels without much problem. Maybe a small spacer to push the wheels out a bit but that would be more for looks. If you have the older type, you will need spacers/adapters, about 1 inch front, and up to 2.50 inch for the rear.

I've got the early car. What about that long ass stud sticking out in the rear. Is it a problem with long studs. Also will I need them in the front or will they bolt right on?

Quote:
1) bolts to the exiting hub and incorporates it's own studs to hang the wheel further out 2)just has holes for long studs to run through Neither is recomended thought there are certainly enough that do it one way or the other. There must be a hundred questions on this very topic in the archives
