SSI install leads to lower idle and rough warm up idle

hey all,
I just got done installing SSIs and MK 2 in 2 out on my 87 targa. It started and ran fine the first day after the install. However yesterday and today when I started it cold the the rpms would pulsate to about 1300 and back down to 900 only when cold. I stopped and restarted the motor and the pulsating was gone once it had warmed up. After briefly driving it around, i noticed that the idle speet was around 550 rpms and it was a rough idle. WHat should I do?
Thanks
Carl

Carl, I have the same exact set up in my 86. Are you running any type of chip and did you re-attach your oxygen sensor correctly?? Also, you gotta love that sound!
Good luck
