Return of the MFI .. advice/correction please :)

Having read up and down on all the great MFI thread and resources I have now gotten down to the last few connections on my 70S. It had a carb engine and the engine side of the harness was trimmed down to what was neccessary for carbs (= basically nothing) .. the CDI was also a little weird, the coil was hot wired and dizzy had a condenser... I have set this back to the original layout.

I'll post two pix, one of my el console and one of the engine.

Please correct me if i am wrong..
From what I see in the console pic I am not missing anything critical to setup the MFI, it only seem to be missing window defroster relays.

- Thermo switch in the breather; I have to draw a new (red/black) cable back to the aux starting relay and make a split in the yellow cable to the starter solenoid for the other connection.
- Solenoids; the system does not have the enrichment solenoid, but it does have the stop/overrun solenoid. I have to draw a cable from the Speed switch in series through the micro switch and over to the solenoid.
- Coldstart/electromagnetic valve; will draw a white/gray cable from the position on top of the fuel console and to the aux start relay.
- Intermediate unit... the blue yellow cable to the coil #15,
- Speed switch .. black purple cable to the distributor

Pix.. ( the MFI fuel console with all its cables was connected today and seem to work fine for now, the pic was taken some weeks ago..)

No enrichment solenoid, time switch in the breather and not the timing chain cover

.. I figured out the loose wires. The CDI was bad as well but I had a spare and in it went.

Poured some gas in the butterflys and the engine coughed, spit and came alive.
.. sorry for the low end flimsy video, holding the dig camera while adjusting throttle.. but sound is sweet

The cold start system is not working, the set screw for the microswitch is missing and I dont get power in any of the sockets for the cold/speed realy/switches. I will take out the console, clean out everything.

The time switch spade connectors were all loose but soldering them did not change anything.

One BIG step forward ..
