Header install question

Installing a new set of headers on my 1986 930,parts supplied included a long steel braid hose with 36 mm female ends.Am I correct in assuming that this hose connects to the bottom of the engine case,runs up and over the transmission and connects to the thermostat inside the right rear fender replacing the stock pipe/hose assembly?Input greatly appreciated.
