I have a 84 Factory Widebody Cabriolet the color is Metallic Rose sort of a purple silver color. Has anyone added Carrera side stripes to this color car? If so what color?

White or black would have been the factory's options. You could go with the stealth grey like Eckhard's above.....or anything that suits your fancy.

I think black would work but what about the black shark tale on the widebody cars, That would have to go if you use the Carrera stripes right?
