Power mirror switch not getting power?

I was removing my door cards to clean them and noticed the drivers side power mirror adjuster switch was unplugged and had fallen into the door cavity. I was able to fish it out and plug it in, and took the moment to test them (this is my recently acquired father's old car that im refreshing). neither mirror worked with the adjuster or when using the dash toggle. I cleaned the contacts on the switch harness with some Deoxit spray (they looked clean anyways) and tried again, nothing.

I then took a test light and probed all the terminals on the harness from the drivers door and none of them were getting 12V with the key turned to the on position. before I look at the toggle switch and start tearing other things apart, shouldn't one of those harness wires be getting 12V when the car is on? I have the service manual and the Bentley wiring diagrams to follow if needed.

the ground (G116) behind the frunk strut was already cleaned which is where the switch and mirrors ground to. according to the manual, the black/violet wire on terminal 1 runs directly to the switch harness from the fuse panel. so I assume its always hot when the key is on or accessories position. I will recheck the wiring from the fuse block to ensure it's in there tight. my dad never mentioned the mirrors didn't work and everything else on the car electrically works.

Edit: after tracing the black/violet wire back to the fuse block, I discovered it was actually disconnected and hidden behind a bunch of wires. looks like when the car got a new harness from Porsche back in 2005, they must've forgot to plug it in. after checking continuity to the switch, I plugged it in and both mirrors work.
