T-bar combo question
I know it has been discussed before, but still I have a question about T-bar combo's.
My car is 911 SC '83 model and it has 26mm rear torsion bars and post '86 carrera sway bars. (22mm front, 21mm rear). Shocks are bilstein. I ordered 20mm QuickChange front T-bars via our host but they seem to be in back-order for an unspecifyable amount of time... My question is, should I change the order to 21mm QuickChange bars (more readily available) or wait for the 20mm ones? Changing the rears is not an option since they are very very new (never used). Will there be a noticable effect on handling? (20mm fronts in combo with 26m rear is stock balance) The car used 95% street, maybe 5% track. |

For your intended purpose, I think the 21mm bars will be fine. Slightly more roll stiffness at the front relative to the rear might lead to some additional understeer, but that's better than additional oversteer.
