Opinions on what this colour is?

Can anyone tell me what this colour is? At first I thought it was Chartreuse, but I have since found a 914 colour called Ravenna green which is also very similar. I know Chartreuse was only available in 73 and Ravennna in 74 and the car pictured is a pre 69, so one would expect it to have had a colour change.

Any help would be appreciated.

Adam

Isn't it. I have a 69E I'm looking to paint the same, just can't narrow down what colour it is.

I don't believe it to be Viper green, this colour is more yellow I think.

Color looks the same as my Lime Green 74 which I believe was the first year for that color from the factory, but Viper is pretty close to it and the photo may be off a bit.

Sorry, I don't know the color. It seems Porsche offered several similar shades of what I could call "lime green" over the years.

I think that is the color of a car I "knew" in the past. In the mid '80s I autocrossed with the SCCA in central Ohio. I drove an RX-7, but there were 2 cars that regularly showed up that really caused me to fall in love with 911s & made me vow to own one someday. One was an orange '72 911S & the other was a "lime green" '74 Carrera, with duck-tail spoiler & Carrera script on the sides. I think that is the same shade of green as the car I remember.

I love it, by the way.

looks like one of the pastels that Porsche put on the first generation of IROC (jelly bean) cars in 73 & 74.

I think it's not Viper green, viper is darker and less "yellowish" (see my avatar).

Could it be golden green, like this '69S?

Bruce-flat6pac, I'd love so see a 930 in Viper Green, can you post a photo?

Regards,
Andrea
