911 warmup regulators
Generally wanting to know what is the true difference between warmup regulators for the 1974-1983 911's specifically the SC. Trying to find one for a 1980 911 SC (european, no O2 sensor) makes all the different ones listed a bit confusing.
I know that years ago when i worked on VW's, volkswagen listed different part numbers for the same item based on the year. My experience in that showed the tendency for VW to recommend the part number for the year you had even tho one of the other items were physically/electrically/etc the same. Sharing this knowledge at the local VW dealers parts counter with customers got me some dirty looks from the parts people. While maybe not true in all cases, I am wondering if Porsche has done the same thing, and hence my question on the WUR's |

Over here the 78 and 79s had no lambda control so the WURs had a vacuum enrichment for WOT. 80 and newer had an O2 sensor and lambda control system which provided this enrichment. The chart of the amount of control pressure is also slightly different for 78, 79 and 80-83. On my 80 engine I have no lambda control so I use a 79 WUR.
