what wheels fit a 87?
Will 993 cup wheels fit a 1987 911? I have 15" fuchs and am thinking of going larger for better tire selection. Any thoughts on going larger? Unsprung weight issues?
The seller sent me the following info:17in.PORSCHE cup 993 tires/rims,bolt pattern 5x5.12 or 5x130.Front 7.5/65mm,rear9.0/55mm. OEM 933.362124.00 |

OEM 993 cup wheels will not fit your car without spacers. Your best bet is to go to a set of 16-inch fuchs wheels. If you want to go up to 17's, there are some good replicas available through Pelican, or if your budget allows do a search for "Jeff Alton" He has developed 17" forged fuchs replicas which are on my short list if/when I upgrade.

6x17 ET55 7x17 ET55 7.5x17 ET65 8x17 ET52 9x17 ET52.3 there was a 968 Cup1(same design as 964 Cup1 7.5x17 ET65) 993 Cup2s, aka Design '93 were available in the following x17 sizes 7x17 ET55 7.5x17 ET65 9x17 ET55 9x17 ET70 As vanwyk4257 pointed out all of these will need rather large spacers for use on a >'89 911, which want 7 ~ET24 or 8 ~ET27 in front and 8 ~ET24 or 9~ET15 in back, the spacer width depends on the wheel and o/s you start w/, subtract the spacer width from ET to find installed ET All of them will be somewhat heavier, even w/o the spacers, than 16" Fuchs or 17" Alton wheels There were aftermarket replicas of the various Cup wheels available w/ >89 911 ETs

I don't thing 993 wheels will fit an 87, unless you are ok with some wheels adapters.
I have a set of the real OEM Fuch 16x7 and 16x9. If you like those, PM me. Quote:

Just an observation on my part. I had a set of 17" cup2 replicas on my car for a week or two and they really made the car feel heavy and lethargic compared to the fuchs. Personally, I prefer the responsiveness that the lower unsprung weight of the fuchs provides, and they look better on most 911's. Do a set of 16x7&8 or 16x7&9 fuchs and you won't regret it!
