Guess I'm getting old

Today I've owned my SC for 25 years. Bought it April 1, 1984. Hard to believe it's been that long. The great thing about this car is it's running as strong now as when I bought it. 212k miles and it's ready for another 25 years. There was no bulletin board back then for me to call on for help so it was pure luck that I got a car as good as I did. Basically I knew which end the engine was but that was about it. Bullet proof SC lives up to the name. I had always wanted a 911 but one afternoon when an older 911 next to me on the 59 Freeway in Houston accelerated effortlessly away, I decided I had to have one. A few months and about 4 test rides later I bought mine.

A few 25 year celebration photos:

What other car could you keep for 25 years and still enjoy driving?

Congrats. One thing for sure, you can't blame anything on the previous owner :)

Haven't seen you on here in awhile. Remember when we all got together in Overland Park? Damn must have been back in '02 or so?

Congrats! That's determination and commitment. Did you ever find him (from 84)? Probably quit looking huh. I'm still looking for a yellow 308 first saw on the turnpike in 82 and I couldn't buy one in four months. Just think of the inspiration, if just to visit the dealership, you've given to others as you've left them behind.
