Is there a metal lever substitute for the strap on the RS door panel? Wondering if anyone has tried this or if there is a similar product available.

metal adds weight, defeats the purpose of the RS panel.. you could call appbiz.com they might.

you could use those plastic pulls that PAG used for something or other

FIAT, IIRC

I used a piece of rockclimbing sling instead. Light, available in any color you like and strong.

I used a strip of cowhide from a leather store. A 3/4" wide scrap was a few dollars. Just put two holes in it and screw in place.

Assuming you are referring to the door opening strap, appbiz is making some stitched straps from either leather or vinyl (not sure which -- or maybe both).

Also, I've seen pictures of a 914 door opening lever used in an rs type panel.

If you're going to put it in your SC, you would have to change your opening mechanism to the earlier type to use the 914 option.

Leather strap shown above, not flimsy or chintzy. A little stiff initially but appear to break in.
