My 911's heat exchangers have rotted away so I bought a set of used heat exchangers on e-bay, they do fit but I am unable to get them to seal, the old ones had a collar that protrudes and fits into the cylinder head but the replacements do not, are there any tricks of the trade to get them to seal? I have replaced the gaskets with new ones purchased from Pelican parts.

leak
get a good file and go to town, its very hard metal and it will take a while, and buy the oem gaskets. mine used thin flange ones were the same way but i got them to quit leaking.
