Weber main jet holders(how do jets come out)

The carbs are 40IDAs on a rs spec 2.7.I had some main jets delivered to change out my 135's to 140's.I unscrewed the main jet holder from the body and can't figure out how the jet comes out of the holder. The main jets that were delivered were totally wrong that much I know. Are the jets unscrewed from the holder or do they just pull out like idle jets.If they do the jets seem frozen in place.I have taken a couple out and they both seem the same.

NO, the jet unscrews from the holder. Put the hex of the jet holder in a soft-face vice and use the exact correct fitting large screwdriver to extract the jet. It has normal (right-hand) threads. Be careful as you can twist the jet holder in half accross the side holes. In some cases I have had to use an 'impact-driver' tool.

Best,
Grady
